In-Person Cooking Class for Adults – Ramadan Prep
Prepare for Ramadan with a hands-on dessert class focused on two iconic Moroccan sweets: almond briwats and mhencha. In this session, you’ll learn how to make a fragrant almond filling, delicately scented with orange blossom water, and work with traditional pastry to create elegant, festive desserts.
From blanching and grinding almonds to balancing sweetness, shaping briwats into perfect triangles, and rolling mhencha into its signature spiral, this class will guide you step by step through essential techniques for beautiful and delicious results. You’ll also learn tips for baking vs. frying, glazing with honey, garnishing, and preparing these sweets ahead of time.
These classic pastries are staples of Ramadan tables, perfect for ftour, special occasions, and gifting to family and friends.
